The slope race was scheduled for 12:00, and the wind did not cooperate at all! The race started about 2:30, and after two heats, that ended with one plane landed on the lower slope, and Brian Laird scrambling to find a thermal. Brian managed to catch a thermal, work his Blitz back up and actually finished the race! Kevin Huckins, the event CD decided to cancel the rest of the event, due to the poor wind conditions. It was still fun to see!
Thanks to Mike Sheridan and all the San Diego guys for traveling to our event, hopefully we will have better luck in the future.
